Hosting a Wink and Kiss 2 test server

The Wink and Kiss Part 1 just reached over 1000 downloads, thanks to all who played! But I've only recieved 9 votes... If you played please leave a comment on the vault page, or just a vote is fine!

As of now I am hosting a test server for The Wink and Kiss Part 2. You can find it under the social section at gamespy. Make sure passworded servers are shown. Or you can direct connect at IP: 65.186.196.123:5122  The password is: willie
You will need an additional hakpack Ultimatebeds_103 , As well as the haks from part one.
Please be advised this module is far from finished. Infact once you finish the training quests, much of the available content might be buggy, Items laying around,  or you may see some odd text in the conversations. These are just builder's notes for my own reference. There isn't a lot of new "sex" yet, but make sure to visit the Firewalker in the carnival area. This is just for people who are eager to see the work I have finished, and feel free to leave posts here if there are any issues that I might not know about.

One other thing to mention, If you are not using a character from part one, you will need to pick up 3 of the fetish tokens laying on the ground to enter and play.

  2. Thanks for keeping the mod up for us to checkout. I noticed it last night but I've tons of work so I haven't the time, at the moment, to actually play it.

    1. I'll be keeping it running until the end of the month. I plan on moving so my server's IP's will probably change in May. I don't know when I'll be able to get back on line or how much work I'll actually get to put into mod building because I'll be busy moving and packing.

  4. I played it and this one has great potential. I played it until you talk together with Melanie with the Landlord. At least at that point I feel you can't play much further yet, because there is now way the situation resoluted?

    I noticed a few typos in areas in which the text seems to be complete. (beleive instead of believe and such)

  5. I would vote and comment over at the vault, but I've made two accounts there, neither of which I can access. Their password recovery doesn't work either, and I don't really feel like opening another account.

    If I did vote, I'd vote 7/10. I only played the female portion of the module, so my vote's for that. My opinion on it is that a lot of the early writing from Willie's POV is physically painful to read, and it only loosens up a bit in the sex scenes. Ultimately, the whole thing just felt very much like set up, which it is, rather than a full module in and off itself. The amount of interactivity in the dialogue was a bit too low for instance, and that's something I'd hope to be expanded upon in the sequel. a different dialogue response doesn't have to take the conversation in a different direction, but they do wonders for the feel of interactivity, which I feel is important.

    1. I had similar problems with mult accounts with them. I agree with your point of view, Captain Dobbins' Cabin is more like a short novel than an orthodox "role play" adventure. I do plan to expand conversations in part two.

  6. Played thorough this sequel via the direct connect and generally liked what I saw.

    Completed all the training/tests and ventured out on the district. I take it that the Entertainment District area is the only one in the module right now (?) Did the first mission with Pisces. After that though I didn't find any other missions to really do (er, so to speak). :)

    I did meet up with the Fireswallower guy. But once inside the tent I guess my Discipline wasn't enough to fully complete the job. Hey, I'm a Bard that went for Charisma, not a burly fighter with Discipline! ;) :P So after several attempts with him, I finally just gave up.

    Anyway, I am enjoying what I see so far. I hope that there are some areas (like the slums) that the potential of r@pe might happen for me as the character. Or other potential bad things. I do like the various characters I've been introduced to so far in the module. Even incomplete, I can tell a lot of thought went into it. Thanks for making it available to try out!

  7. My servers will be coming down Friday, April 27th due to a move. I don't know when I'll be able to get back on-line. If I do my IP's will definitely be changing.

    1. I guess I haven't been lately. I'm between homes right now and don't have a good computer hooked up to work with. Keep in mind The Wink and Kiss/Captain Dobbins' Cabin took me around five years to build to completion. I work very casual and not professional by any means. But that doesn't mean I have abandoned the project. I will finish it some day.

  11. I've been busy moving, so haven't had time or an internet/computer set up to be working on it lately. I haven't disappeared though, and it will finish someday at my leisure.

    1. I'm not real sure how to answer this. She is a test pc I use to play the mod. She's a pure bard. I also used a custom head and portrait.

    I downloaded that module (latest version) from nvwault, I instaled and tried to play, but that loadscreen stuck and don´t work could I get hint.

    1. Sorry you're having trouble. I downloaded the mod again myself and I wasn't able to duplicate the problem. This mod hasn't been modified in several months so it seems to be a local problem on your end. All I can offer are some stock trouble shooting answers.

      1.) Make sure your game is patched with 1.69- http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=1505


      2.) If there is anything in your override folder, try temporarily emptying it out and re run the mod.
